Your Concerns, Our Action: Building a Safer Penkridge

Good evening, hope your well. 

Following reports received from residents and members of the community regarding youths congregating in Bellbrook Park and engaging in anti-social behaviour, I have worked closely with Penkridge Parish Council, who have kindly installed a CCTV camera within the area.

This will enable any reported incidents of anti-social behaviour to be reviewed and acted upon accordingly. The CCTV will also assist in the detection of crime and anti-social behaviour, helping us to identify those responsible and target issues more effectively.

In addition, I am currently carrying out a series of environmental audits across the local area, with Bellbrook Park being the first location reviewed. As part of this process, it is important that I develop a clear understanding of the behaviours, concerns, and issues affecting the area. This will help identify any underlying causes and ensure that any action taken is both proportionate and effective.

Further surveys, engagement opportunities and community drop-in sessions will be undertaken over the coming weeks and months to ensure that local residents, park users and other stakeholders have the opportunity to have their views and concerns heard. This feedback will form a key part of the environmental audit process and help inform future problem-solving and partnership activity within Bellbrook Park and the wider Penkridge area.

Whilst Bellbrook Park is the first location being reviewed as part of this initiative, environmental audits will also be carried out in other areas where concerns have been identified. By gathering information, understanding behaviours and listening to the experiences of local communities, we can work with partners to develop effective long-term solutions that address issues not only within Bellbrook Park but further afield across the local area.
